**Not Your Typical Grooming Salon** At The Rescue Retreat, I am dedicated to providing grooming services to all dogs, with a special focus on rescue dogs, puppies, and dogs that experience challenges with traditional grooming. I work with dogs who require a little extra patience and TLC. **Understanding the Unique Needs of Rescue Dogs**Rescue dogs frequently come from backgrounds marked by abuse or neglect. As a result, they may have specific needs and sensitivities when it comes to grooming. Unlike most larger salons, I offer individualized, one-on-one appointments. This allows me to devote undivided attention to each dog, ensuring they receive the patience and care they need. My calm and comforting space helps dogs feel at ease, and being the only dog in the room helps nearly every dog have a better grooming experience.
**Shorter, More Manageable Appointments**We break up a full grooming session -- which can be stressful and overwhelming for your dog -- into two or more shorter, more manageable appointments. This is especially helpful for pups who need a full haircut, and those who find the high-velocity dryer too scary.
**Helping Through, Not Pushing Through**
Your dog will NEVER be pushed through anything they are not prepared to handle. I offer affordable training packages to help them overcome their grooming fears!
**Qualified and Certified to Care for Dogs With Special Needs**
I am a graduate of The Whole Pet Grooming Academy, trained as a Master Groomer Behavior Specialist, and am also a Certified Senior Pet Care Specialist, trained in the special care that our senior dogs need and deserve!
